First Delivery of the A350 XWB - Entry into Service

This video explains the manufacturing process of the new Airbus A350 XWB, delivered to Qatar Airways at the end of last month.

The aircraft is composed by more than 2.65 million parts, some of them produced by Airbus internally and the rest by external suppliers all around the world (Airbus has more than 2.000 suppliers in over 20 countries). The efficiency of the supply chain and the reliability of the logistics process (component manufacturing, parts assembly and final assembly line in the headquarters in Toulouse) will allow the company to deliver around 10 aircraft per month (1 every 2 working days).

As well as the manufacturing process, the  transport is also external and internally managed, including the transport of the fuselage carried by the Beluga (A300-600ST) by Airbus.
