Driverless cars according to the author will be able to replace taxi drivers and drive themselves automatically over 90% of the time. During my time in the European Commission I realized that this optimist schedules are not possible, but maybe around 2040 European Cities will only have automatic taxis and cars will have to be parked outside the city, coming to the city centre by public transport or in one of those automatic taxis. Pollution and congestion will disappear from the our cities and down towns will change into a pedestrian heaven. That's Uber view and also the utopic ideal of many transport planners around the World, but we will have to wait, a bit longer in my view, than what this text explains.
